New Truck!

Brad and I were riding the motorcyle one Sunday afternoon and ran into this bad boy and had to have it.  I had to trade in my Escape but it will be well worth it to have a diesel truck pulling the toy hauler.

Vegas :)

Brad surprised me with a trip to Vegas!!  We now have Allegiant Airlines here and they have flights Friday and Monday.  It was definitely a needed break.  Casey and Mike, Miguel and Michelle, Bill and Alecia, and Brad and I went for a four day weekend.  What a blast!! The weather was beautiful. We stayed downtown this time at the Fitzgerald.  It had great night life.  The Fremont Experience show had music from George Thorogood, Bye Bye Miss American Pie, a Queen tribute and Kiss.  They also had a band outside the Fitzgerald where we partied most nights.  On Saturday, we began our day with drinks at 9:30 am at New York, New York.  Then we took the roller coaster ride, awesome!  Afterwards we went to the outside bar by Harrah's, then down to the Venetian for a little retail therapy.  Then off to Caesar's Palace for a little Cheesecake Factory!!! I had the Chipotle Chicken Pasta and it was absolutely delish!!  We also had the Buffalo Blast app and it was great too.  Sunday, Brad and I relaxed at the bar outside of Planet Hollywood and had a few Cosmos.  I even got a sunburn there! When we came home, Casper was having a snowstorm and we landed in 8 degree weather!!   But we didn't stop there, we decided to drink for a couple more hours in the airport lounge. LOL  Here are some pics of our great time:

We worked on sprucing up the laundry room over the New Year weekend.  New coat of paint and a new maple cabinet!

Promotion!!

On my birthday, my controller Ella promoted me to Payroll!  I was quite nervous about switching over, I was pretty comfortable in Accounts Payable.  Payroll always seemed to be quite a chore and I wasn't even interested in it but I knew it would be a good opportunity for me.  Tiffany has been training me for about a week and a half now and this is a BIG job.  I just don't know how to get my head wrapped around this, there are so many variables. Plus I was really worried about all the overtime I would be working, I would see Tiffany working until 10 o'clock at night on Mondays and I just cringed at the thought. I mean it's football season!!! I can't miss my Monday Night Football!  But this last week was my first payroll run and we only worked until 7:30pm.  It actually went pretty smooth, only a few hiccups. Then on Wednesday, Tiffany and I switched offices.  Here is a picture of my new office:   

Now all I need to do is find something for that blank wall.  hmmmm....

Camping

I can't believe we did when we saw the weather look like this:

but it did turn out to be a beautiful night at Pathfinder.  We left about 10:00am on Saturday and had a great time.  There was a total of 11 of us, 9 adults and 2 kids.  We got to go four wheeling and Tommy just loved to borrow mine to go ride with the guys.  :)  Kalie got to go a couple of times with him and she LOVED every minute of it.  She shows no fear.  You can see more pictures here: Camping  It was so fun and I can't wait until Memorial weekend to go out again!

A Beautiful Day...

Sunday was absolutely gorgeous!!!  65 degrees out and no wind!  Brad and I made sure to take advantage of the great day.  First we worked on the toy hauler and de-winterized and sanatized the water system.  Then we decided to do a dry run and see what it will be like when we put our toys in the trailer.  It was actually pretty easy.  Here is the Victory inside:

After that we took the Victory for a spin around town and then had a BBQ and invited a few friends over.  We are hoping to go camping this weekend if the weather is nice.
